B. 2PM Center Stage Theater-Arts & Sciences Center-WSCC
Tom Clinton creates collographs with grid-like images to show the beauty in logical construction.
Tom Clinton's work reflects an interest in the ways that logic, process, negotiation and regulation impact the making of art. Before attending art school, Clinton studied statistics and practiced law. Not surprisingly, those earlier experiences continue to have a significant influence on his practice as a printmaker and installation artist.
Clinton will explore the ways in which formulas, categories, and other regulations have been incorporated into his production process. What fascinates him is the manner in which individuality and complexity assert themselves in situations where the available options have been somehow limited.
